Superior Quality

Instead of a press roller, this system uses a press cylinder to provide a larger paper press point, ensuring more consistent solid fill. An innovative Paper Gripping Mechanism firmly holds the paper, greatly enhancing accuracy of registration. The uniquely designed catch tray and adjustable delivery mechanism enables concise stacking of the prints. A new ink system monitors the ink flow to deliver faster drying time and reduced setoff. ■ Built-in image rotation and automatic page sizing correctly match the image to the size paper set in the feed tray.

■ Equipped with original storage function – allows storage of up to 8 originals for reprinting at a another time.

■ Digitally controlled paper feed settings made at the operation panel.

■ Digital horizontal and vertical registration control, accurate to 0.02".

■ Multi-copy print function allows for printing 2-, 4-, 8-, and 16-up.

■ Security Mode prohibits a master on the drum from being printed by unauthorized persons by locking the drum so that additional copies can't be
    made, without wasting any masters.

■ Using the optional ADF can automatically save up to 50% of normal copy costs when printing 8 1/2" x 11" paper.

Print in Color
Optional color drums allow printing in all Standard colors or in any custom match color. Color applications that need higher productivity and enhanced color registration will benefit from the optional SD622 two-color in one-pass digital duplicator that works in tandem with the SD450.

Fast and Quiet
The SD450 can deliver its first print in 12 seconds, making it one of the fastest first print times in its class. The dual-cylinder system combined with a safety/noise shutter in the paper feed tray and decreased use of gears and cams reduces the noise level significantly — even at speeds of 120 sheets per minute.

Economical
On longer runs, the SD450 prints pages for as low as one-third of a cent — about one-fifth the cost of a photocopied page.
